We are a family-owned small business in a BIG store! Our inventory is enormous, so we probably have exactly what you are looking for! We carry top brands of plastic model kits including slot cars, rockets, boats and ships, plastic aircraft and armor model kits, too. We have die-cast cars, aircraft and tanks! You'll find stamps and coin collecting supplies, paint supplies and more! Because our inventory is so large and many items sell so fast, we can't possibly list every hobby item, but you are always welcome to come in and browse!
Slot It Class The class is intended to provide a race class where if wished the car can be developed to the Slot It Challenge rules. Any Slot It car. Ballast may be added. Only Slot It parts and tyres may be used.
Our store is large and occupies what used to be a large bowling alley. And yes, we have a SLOT CAR RACEWAY with three tracks: one is a dragstrip; one is an 8-lane tri-oval; and one is an 8-lane engleman.

Scale Models Slot Racing is based on the 5th floor of Goyt Mill, Upper Hibbert Lane Marple (see map on the left). It has ample parking on the main mill car park. The easiest access is through the door at the side of the canal and then up to the 5th floor either by the lift, or for the energetic there is always the stairs.
Scale Models runs regular racing nights on Monday and Thursday. Monday nights are for the juniors, with structured racing of several different classes of slot cars, including club car race night and a family night, where members of the family are encouraged to come along and compete.
Club competes on Thursday nights. Currently, five different classes are offered, each with its own rules. Members can race in all five classes, or simply select whichever classes that they wish. The overall Club Championship is determined from results in all of the classes.
Both nights are fun and quite easy going, with everyone welcome.
Additionally, the first Saturday of each month is Open Day, when the doors are open to all for a day of fun and exhibition racing of a variety of models.
If you would like to come along and have a go just pop in and you will be made very welcome. You don’t need to bring anything along as all equipment needed and even cars can be provided to you so you can have a go.
