No date has been set for DTD’s reopening with a statement released by owner Rob Yong, reading:

“The Club will close from Monday 16th March. Our main priority is the safety and welfare of our staff and customers, we will continue to monitor the situation with COVID-19 and provide updates to both staff and customers about the reopening of the club in due course.”

Furthermore, Yong realises his club often uses contractors for partypoker LIVE events that are being cancelled. These vital staff have not been forgotten either.

Yong has set up a JustGiving page aiming to raise money for contractors who are now without work for the foreseeable future. Yong will, from his personal funds, match the first £100,000 raised.

There is also an online tournament running at partypoker called the partypoker LIVE Cup. The dates are yet to be confirmed, but all tournament fees received from the event will be donated to the cause.
